The Salisbury Pizza Co. was founded by a desire to survive the Covid-19 lockdowns, to retain jobs in the local area and to adapt with the times to create amazing food together to bring a little joy during these tough times.
The restaurant here at Firsdown has seen many improvements but I have never been more excited about a change than the introduction of our freshly cooked to order sourdough hand stretched pizzas. They will be available for collection for a home treat or enjoy meeting up with friends over drinks and a pizza of your choice and yes, we are alcohol licensed. Plenty of outside seating is available including the recently added rear garden.
We have created a menu that has something for everyone and whether your thing is meat, vegan or veggie they’re all made with love care and attention. The wonderfully fresh, traditional and local Wiltshire Cheeses showcase the effort made to bring only the best to table or takeaway.
Local produce at its best certainly tops our Ceri's White Wiltshire Forest cheese pizza. Ceri’s cheeses are tremendous in their flavour profile and she is the fifth generation of the family to have made cheese on the farm. Starting in 2005 she revived the Wiltshire Loaf brand which went on to win Best Territorial Cheese at the British Cheese Awards. The Wiltshire Loaf was recorded by Jane Austen in her book Emma. We have chosen to use all of Ceri's hard cheeses to increase the tangy intensity of our "Four Cheese" pizza (Ceri's BIG Wiltshire Cheeses) - it's delicious!
